We built this for our own toddlers

TokenTwirl started on a kitchen wall. We have two little ones, and we were working on the usual things: the potty, tidying up toys, clearing a plate after dinner. A paper sticker chart helped for about a week. Then the stickers ran out, the chart fell down, and nobody could remember whether that star was from today.

So we built a board on a spare screen. Big pictures, one tap, and a star that spins into a jar. Our youngest worked it out in a day. Our oldest started asking to do chores just to watch the star fly. That board became TokenTwirl.

Why a token board?

Token boards are a well-worn tool in early-childhood behaviour support. A child earns a small token for each small task they finish, and enough tokens add up to a reward they chose. They work because they make progress visible to kids who can’t read or count yet, and because the praise arrives right away.

TokenTwirl keeps what makes them work and fixes what makes paper charts fall apart: the reward is instant and delightful, the rules (like “once a day” or “wait a minute before the next one”) are applied fairly, and parents get an honest record without keeping score by hand.

Kids aren’t users

They don’t sign up, log in, type, or chat. They tap pictures.

As little as we can

A first name or nickname, a birth month and year, a colour and an animal. No photos, no full birthdays, no schools.

No ads, no tracking

No selling data, ever. You pay us, so we don’t need to.

AI never sees names

Task ideas are made from age in months and the focus areas you tick. Names are stripped first.

Your data is yours

Export everything as a file, or delete your account and it’s gone.
